Papá Cuatro

Papá Cuatro

WORLD PREMIERE MUSICAL: JULY 2 - JULY 31

A journey through the ages. The birth of a new world.

Papá Cuatro is a world-premiere musical that tells an extraordinary immigrant tale of a generation of Venezuelan musicians who were forced to leave their country in hopes of a better future, taking with them centuries of traditions and the joyous sound of an iconic Latin American string instrument: El Cuatro.

Immerse yourself in this epic journey and cultural celebration with these world-class international artists that have come to start anew and share their real-life stories with you in a setting that exists somewhere between a musical, a documentary, and a house party.

Conceived by Venezuelan-Canadian director Juan Souki (Miami New Drama’s Viva la Parranda), and with original music by singer-songwriter, Mariaca Semprúm (Piaff, La Lupe); cuatro player, Miguel Siso (Latin Grammy 2018); harpist, Eduardo Betancourt (Latin Grammy 2010); bandola player, Mafer Bandola (LADAMA); and drummer, Adolfo Hererra.
