Student Matinees at the Colony

Our Student Matinees at The Colony bring students, many who have never seen a professional theater production before, to the theater. They are able to experience our regular season during special student-only morning performances, with talk-backs following every show. We coordinate directly with administrators, educators, and bus companies to provide this FREE experience. This allows students to move beyond their own neighborhoods to experience not only more of Miami, but more of the world through theater.

Impact

2016-2017 Season:

  • The launch of Student Matinees with OUR TOWN!
2018-2019 Season – Seven performances of the following productions: 

  • One Night in Miami
  • FAKE
  • Viva la Parranda!
2019-2020 Season – Five performances of the following productions:

  • The Bridge of San Luis Rey
  • The Cubans
2021-2022 Season – Two performances of the following productions:

  • When Monica Met Hillary
  • The Cuban Vote
