Antigone in the World
PUBLIC SCHOOL TOUR - FEBRUARY 2019
Directed by Peter Romano
Antigone in the World, a production of Sophocles’ tragedy performed by a young, international, and ethnically diverse company of actors in unconventional theater spaces. The play was performed in over a dozen Miami-Dade County public high schools.
Every private paid performance of Antigone provided the opportunity for two school performances. The flexible production took place in the intimacy of homes, work, or outdoor venues. Duration: 50 minutes with an optional 15-minute Q&A session.
This free touring production was performed exclusively for Miami-Dade Public School students and at free community spaces (Lummus Park & Design District). It served 5800 students from 20 schools with 31 performances.
