Michel is a Venezuelan-born theater director, producer and writer. He is the co-founder and Artistic Director of Miami New Drama, Michel was the bookwriter and director of The Golem Of Havana, a critically-acclaimed original musical. The show opened at LaMama in August of 2013 and received it’s world premiere at Barrington Stage Company in July of 2014. It had a sold out, extended run at the Colony Theatre with Miami New Drama. Hausmann's Off Broadway credits include the New York Premiere of Vassily Sigarev's Black Milk at East 13th Theater and the New York premiere of The Color Of Desire, by Pulitzer Prize winning author Nilo Cruz. In Caracas he was the Artistic Director of Palo De Agua, a leading Venezuelan theater company. There he directed the world premiere of Los Navegaos, renowned Venezuelan playwright Isaac Chocrón's last play, as well as critically-acclaimed productions of Fiddler on the Roof, Jesus Christ Superstar and The Producers with an audience of 170,000 spectators. Along with Moisés Kaufman, he co-directed the Venezuelan premiere of Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde.
Michel received a BA from Emerson College and an M.F.A in Theater Directing from Columbia University. Hausmann is a New York Theater Workshop 2050 Fellow, a Shubert Presidential fellow, an IRNE nominee and a Richard Rodgers Award finalist.
Moisés Tony and Emmy nominated director and playwright. He most recently directed the Broadway revival of The Heiress with Jessica Chastain and 33 Variations on Broadway, starring Jane Fonda, which received 5 Tony Nominations. He also directed Rajiv Joseph's Pulitzer Prize finalist Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo with Robin Williams on Broadway in Spring of 2011. Prior to that, Mr. Kaufman directed the Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning play I Am My Own Wife. His plays Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde and The Laramie Project have been among the most performed plays in America over the last decade. Mr. Kaufman recently directed his first opera, El Gato con Botas (Puss in Boots). Other credits include: The Nightingale (La Jolla Playhouse), A Common Pursuit (Roundabout), Macbeth with Liev Schreiber (Public Theater), This Is How It Goes (Donmar Warehouse), One Arm by Tennessee Williams (New Group and Steppenwolf Theater Company) Master Class with Rita Moreno (Berkeley Repertory Theater), and Lady Windermere's Fan (Williamstown Theater Festival). Mr. Kaufman also co-wrote and directed the film adaptation of The Laramie Project for HBO, which received two Emmy Award nominations for Best Director and Best Writer.
He is the Artistic Director of Tectonic Theater Project and a Guggenheim Fellow in Playwriting.
Nicholas is an award-winning producer, actor, and theater executive who has received critical acclaim for his broad range of work. He served as Managing Director of Zoetic Stage at the Adrienne Arsht Center, where he produced the world premieres of Christopher Demos-Brown’s Stripped, Michael McKeever’s After, and Fuácata! or a Latina’s Guide to Surviving the Universe, as well as award winning productions of Rapture, Blister, Burn, Pinter’s The Caretaker, Topdog/Underdog, and Sondheim’s Passion and Sunday in the Park with George (Carbonell Award, Best Production of a Musical). Stage acting credits include Confessions of a Cocaine Cowboy (Miami New Drama), Peter and the Starcatcher (Adrienne Arsht Center, Carbonell Award, Best Actor in a Play), Fun Home (Zoetic Stage, Silver Palm Award, Cabonell Nom.), Terry Teachout’s Billy and Me (Palm Beach Dramaworks, Carbonell Nom.). He has received nine Carbonell Award nominations and has twice been named Best Actor by Miami New Times. A Miami native, Richberg is a member of Miami Foundation Miami Leaders class of 2015, holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University, and is a graduate of Miami Country Day School and University of Miami.
